Gizmodo håller med mig

Gizmodo har kommit fram till samma slutsats gällande mobiltelefoner som jag gjorde för ett tag sedan. Vad fan håller mobiltillverkarna på med egentligen? Ingen innovation överhuvudtaget på marknaden innan Apple började röra i grytan och inte ens efter det fattar de stora bolagen vad det handlar om.

The real story is that the W995a is basically the same cellphone as the first cellphone I’ve ever used and loved dearly: My trusty Sony Ericsson T68i. That thing and I had history, and I loved it. I loved the same matrix menu, the same convoluted user interface that makes you go through a hundred screens before reaching the place you want, and I even loved the predictive keyboard—which actually really didn’t work well, but whatever.

Jag kan dock se ett behov av riktigt nedskalade mobiler men då du ska ha större funktionalitet bör du skapa en ”smartphone” istället för en ”dumbphone” med kass integration. Jag hoppas att alla bakåtsträvare går i konkurs.
